July and beginning of August are for visiting Lavender fields and have some fun taking million of photos! One of the things I love about London is that almost every month something is blooming. A few years ago I went to one of the lavender fields nearby and spent an amazing time there. There is always a shop where you can not only buy lavender but also different products made of it – oils, soaps, etc.
Wherever you go I recommend you do it early in the morning to avoid the crowds. Time will fly by very quickly, stay till early lunch and head back.
Photography tips: wear anything yellow, white or light blue, it will make a beautiful contrast to the photo. Having a hat is also a very good idea. Try to have as much lavender as possible in a frame. Sit down between bushes and ask a person who is taking a photo to go 2-3 rows away from you. This way you will have lavender around you and the photo will look awesome!
