Last weekend was my second ever visit to Bath, and this time I wanted to see and do something different alongside admiring the gorgeous Georgian architecture. As it was sunny and hot I headed to recently opened pop up beach in Royal Victoria Park.
I found it to be a really good place to spend at least half a day with friends or to have a quick break between visiting museums and sightseeing. I was there alone so I got myself a strawberry sorbet and chilled in a hammock. I haven’t been to the beach in a while so it was nice to take my shoes off and enjoy walking on the sand barefoot.
To the rear of the beach, there is a bar with different cocktails, soft drinks as well as tea and coffee. There is also Mexican food, but that day I was on a sorbet diet and didn’t feel like eating anything else.
There are several games to play including my favourite table tennis(£5 / 30 mins), adventure golf(£5 for adults and £4 for kids), and beach volleyball (£40 / hour, online booking).
This is not something you would normally expect to see and do in Bath and I found it to be such a cool idea. They are open till September, don’t miss out!
