This week I had a chance to visit a Costa store in Brixton that had been recently refurbished to create speedier service and a fresher in-store environment. They did an amazing job! The store looks very modern and trendy, space is big but still makes you feel cosy.

The Brixton Costa launched a new installation to celebrate the ‘art’ of coffee and I met an illustrator working on a new build for the store. She was drawing community stories and I got on this board as a blogger and photographer, so nice! I would like to come back to the store to see the complete illustration. After all, how often do you get on the wall of a coffee shop? 🙂

There are 3 things that immediately caught my attention: a blue sofa, hanging cups with light bulbs and a brick arch that divides the space into 2 different sections. Ok, let’s get into details here.

Brick arch. If you follow me on Instagram you know that I always have a discussion what I like more: pretty colourful houses of west London or brown brick  ‘industrial’ style of the city. What I always like are interior designs with brick elements, that’s why this branch of Costa Coffee get my big ‘Like’.

Blue sofa. Ever since all-time favourite TV show ‘Friends’ I’ve been dreaming about going with my friends to a coffee shop with a colourful sofa. Why? I don’t know, probably because I love that show so much so sometimes you just want to be like them.

Lights made of coffee cups. I believe small details play a huge role in the overall feel of the store. Hangings cups is something I haven’t seen yet and it’s definitely an eye-catching element of Costa’s store in Brixton.

If you are in that area, check it out. Costa is located at front of the tube station, right under the bridge.
